"I'll break!" She said happily, and pulled off the triangle, setting it aside, and lining up her shot, to the left side, hoping to get one in the left pocket. She shot, just enough so the ball's chain reaction would cause the balls to go everywhere in chaos, and in the chaos, a striped ball would enter the pocket.
"Alright... My mother died in childbirth. My father blamed me for that. He started drinking, I ended up learning how to take care of myself, but he was always... well, there.... So, I started playing with fire- at that time, I was already being bullied by other kids. I figured out I had abilities. My father saw me, and yelled at me. I kept stealing lighters, wanting to learn more about myself. He kept finding out, and he started abusing me. One night, that was happening, and I accidentally set him on fire. Professor Muller found out about me and I went." Her voice was solemn by the time she finished, and she wasn't looking at him, just leaning against the wall and watching the ground.
Veronica looked at the hand on her shoulder, and returned the faint smile. "Your turn." She said. "It's still my hit, too." She added, grabbing her pool stick and aiming a shot. She was distracted, though, so she didn't make one.
Well, mines a bit odd, but, here goes. So I grew up with nice parents and all, but when I was 12, i started developing mutant powers of strength. That was an easy enough power to contain, so my parents didn't think anything of it. Even with my powers, my bones were still normal, so I couldn't punch anything at full force without breaking every bone in my hand. Found that out the hard way. One day when I was on my way back from school, this organization named C.R.O.S.H. picked me up. They used a tranculizer on me, so I couldn't stop them. Next thing I knew, I was in a lab and they were just about to fill my system with animantium, an extremely durable metal. They had chosen me because I was young. They always pick the younger ones. Anyway, the began the surgery, and I died after the most painful 15 minutes of my life. Then, a week later, I woke up in a field. Turns out some of the antimantium had covered my heart enough to keep it beating all along. I got my revenge on them, but I don't want to go to into depth on that. My parents decided I needed to come here because they were scared. My personality changed a lot, and they were worried. Now I'm in this place. *he looked around. He'd learned to control his emotions when telling that story, so his face simply looked very stern.*
Well, it's really not to bad at all, I'm invulnerable. I can only die fom like Poison and old age *he shrugged. He lined up the stick with the cue ball, and struck it. The Stick had gone all the way through the cue ball. He looked awkwardly at Veronica, and then began to laugh.* Maybe it's a little bad. *he said laughing.*
"Hmm... Actually, I wanna try something! I wonder if I could make hot chocolate out of chocolate icecream..." She said, and walked to the ice-cream maker. She grabbed two styrofoam cups and filled them with chocolate icecream. She grabbed one of the cups and started heating it up, making the icecream into cream, and heating that up a little too.
*He smiled.* Here, I'll try some. *he grabbed the cup from her and had a taste, the hotness filling his mouth and throat.* Wow - that is - dreadful. *he laughed* it tastes like messed up not so chocolatey milk. *he laughed.*
Yeah, I just can't stand all of these people. Everyone's basically pretty annoying, but that's mostly cause I don't like to be bothered. I wouldn't mind if you bothered me a bit more sometimes though. *he smiled.*
Veronica giggled a little. "Yeah. I hate being bothered. You're pretty cool, though." She said, her hands heating up a little, causing her icecream to melt. She jumped in surprise when she felt the heat. "Damnit. " she muttered unhappily. "Sorry... that doesn't happen very often. I usually have my emotions in check... I mean... never mind! I'll just get more." She said, standing up, trying to hide a blush.
*He thought quickly "Pull a move, Ron!" he said to himself.* I don't know, but I think we should do something a little more fun than just sitting around. *he moved her hair back behind her ear, and looked into her eyes intently.*
Veronica wasn't surprised by the kiss but it still took her a few moments to kiss back, but this meant she had no reign over her emotional range. The closest thing, besides the table or couch thankfully, burst into flames, which was a small pile of papers next to her cup.she ended the kiss when she smelled fire, and looked at the pile of papers, her eyes going wide. "... Oops." She said, mentally trying to kill the fire.
Veronica would eventually, and reluctantly, pull away after a bit. "I'm going to accidentally burn this place down if this keeps going. " she said, smiling, half-joking and half-serious. "I still need to learn how to control my powers..."
*He looked slightly disappointed, and back off a bit.* Alright. *he said in a dreadful like tone. After a few moments silence, he spoke.* So - what's this mean for you and me? *he wasn't sure what it was for her, but he thought he knew it to be strangely not serious and serious at the same time.*
