History

Gareth Bale had a normal childhood with two working parents and an older brother. Though like all kids he faced trouble and hardships he enjoyed his life until he found out about his mutant powers at the age of ten. He tried to hide his powers because he had read stories about how mutants were treated, and succeeded in hiding them for several years. A few times he would slip and shock people with his electrokinesis, but he just played off like he had unknowingly shocked them with his finger.

His life changed when he was sixteen and fought with one of his friend, Terry. Not the best student, Gareth had cheated to pass a midterm exam and Terry had found out. When Terry confronted him Gareth tried to use his imposing physical to scare Terry into not revealing his secret. Terry began running and Gareth grabbed him by his shirt to stop him. He tried to shock Terry to threathen him, but he accidentally unleashed his electrokinesis at a higher voltage when he lost control and electrified him to death. Scared of his own powers and haunted by what he did Gareth ran. After a few months of running he was discovered by the X-Men when they read reports about younger teenager using lightning bolts to steal food from supermarkets.

Personality

Gareth was a changed man after Terry's death. He has become more moody, sullen, and silent. He is slightly more agressive and quiet because he doesn't want to engage to much in conversation fearing people may aggravate him into using his powers. Though he has a new-found thick skin, Gareth is actually very sensitive and scarred by Terry's death

Gareth is decent looking, with short, brown hair that's usually kept in a messy and tousled style. He is about 6'3", and he has a lean weight in at 183 lbs. He has a muscular stature. He has a light tan from training outside and playing sports.
